C.5 Supervisor/Competent Person Refresher
(Available as an open-registration course or through private contract)
The SSPC Painting Contractor Certification Program (PCCP) Qualification Procedure 2 (QP2), requires 8-hour annual refresher training for foremen, supervisors, and other competent persons. In addition, the OSHA Lead in Construction Standard requires annual training for all employees who may be exposed to lead above the Action Level. KTA updates the refresher course each year by concentrating on the current regulations and enforcement records of the EPA and OSHA and addressing present-day contractor citation issues.
Course topics include:
* Health hazards of lead and other toxic materials
* Regulatory overview
* Worker protection for lead and other health hazards
* Review of air, soils, and water regulations
