KTA-Tator, Inc., KTA for short, is a Consulting/Engineering firm which was founded in 1949 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Our main specialty is consulting and inspection in the protective coatings and construction industries.

Coatings, otherwise known as paint, are found in every aspect of our society today: on soda and beer cans, on cars, in houses and other buildings, on bridges, inside and outside of storage tanks, on pipes, on trains, and so forth.
