Kirk Wissmar is the Engineering Surveys Department Manager for KTA where he has been employed for over 8 years. Kirk holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the West Virginia University Institute of Technology, is a Registered Professional Engineer, and is a NACE Coatings Inspector Level 2 – Certified. He serves as a Project Manager and oversees a staff of engineers who perform painting and corrosion surveys, coating condition assessments, structural takeoffs, opinions of probable cost, life-cycle cost analyses, and evaluation of contractor coatings and containment submittals for clients. He was involved in the reconfiguration of the KTA Coating Assessment and Painting Priority (CAPP®) system, which is a computerized management tool designed for organizing maintenance painting. Kirk is currently providing CAPP® and other engineering services on projects involving bridges, storage tanks, power generation facilities, home improvement stores, and other industrial structures. | Read full bio
Robert S. Lanterman – Project Professional

Robert Lanterman is a Project Professional for KTA’s Engineering Surveys Department where he has been employed for over 5 years. In this position, he provides coating and structural assessment services on bridges, water tanks, and other industrial structures as well as containment/ventilation submittal review services for a variety of clients including County of Hanover (Virginia) DPU, MassHighway, DRPA, Monroeville Municipal Authority, TBTA, PennDOT, West Virginia American Water and others. Prior to his current assignment, Rob served as a Project Engineer for Materials Design Evaluation, Inc. (MDE), a KTA employee spin-off company. His responsibilities included the oversight of the design, fabrication installation, and repair of industrial equipment; preparation and review of engineering design drawings and calculations for compliance with industry standards, specifications, and regulations; field inspection and failure analysis services; and development of laboratory testing protocols and data analysis. Rob holds a B.E. in Chemical Engineering from the Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio.
Michael P. Reina, P.E. – Project Professional

Mike Reina is a Project Professional with KTA’s Engineering Surveys Department. He is a NACE Certified Coatings Inspector Level 3 (Peer Review) and is a registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Illinois, Wisconsin, Texas, Idaho, Virginia, and Michigan. Mike has served in many capacities at KTA over the past 15+ years including Manager of the Surveys & Design Group. In his current assignment, Mike performs project engineering including coating and structural assessment services on bridges, water tanks and other industrial structures. He also provides specification preparation, cost estimates and blast cleaning containment review services on major bridge rehabilitation projects for various transportation agencies. Such clients have included Nebraska Department of Roads; Tennessee and Pennsylvania Departments of Transportation; Port Authority of New York and New Jersey; New York State Thruway Authority; Cape May County, New Jersey; and Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority. Mike holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
